General intelligence is a construct consisting of different
intellectual abilities. The cognitive test battery in BASE
contains 14 tests measuring five intellectual
abilities. At the 5th measurement point 8 out of the original 14
tests were included in the assessment.
In this documentation, each is described separately:
Knowledge, Perceptual
Speed, Fluency, Memory,
Reasoning.
For more detailed information about the procedures, see Lindenberger, Mayr, and Kliegl, (1993) or the "Intelligenz und Kognition" documentation at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development.
